How to confirm the details of the Registrant (owner) of a Domain

With the introduction of new regulations requiring the verification of the Registrant contact details, in case of new registrations, transfers and modifications of contact details (for example: change of email address, change of Registrant), new contact details need to be confirmed.

To do this, simply follow the instructions indicated in the email sent to the email address of the registrant/owner.

Example of email:
From: Aruba S.p.A. billing@staff.aruba.it
Subject: Confirm contact details of your domain

Important: by failing to complete the process indicated below your domain
will be suspended

Dear Customer,
this email has been sent to you because recently you either registered,
transferred or changed the details of the following domain

domainname.ext
or because the Authority had problems trying to email you at your contact email address.

To avoid getting your domain and associated services suspended
(e.g. email services) follow the process indicated at the link below
https://approve.domainadmin.com/registrant/?verification_id=285635&key=GTjn6TKHY4&rid=378

Kind regards

By going to the link, you will reach the page titled - Please Verify your contact information -, where you can proceed with the validation, by clicking the – Verify Information - button. By doing so, you  accept the Terms and Conditions of the Domain Name and confirm the contact information indicated in that page.

At this point, the verification process has been completed.

The contact information needs to be confirmed within 15 days from the activation, transfer or  modification of such details, if not the domain will be suspended and taken offline.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I DON’T RECEIVE THE VALIDATION EMAIL?

Verify, first of all, that the contact email address of the Registrant is correct, by signing into the Aruba Customer Area using your login and password.

If the contact email address is correct, check your Spam folder and, if the message is not in said folder, you can request a new email by clicking VERIFY DETAILS .

If the contact email address is not valid, click EDIT DETAILS next to the domain in question (see more information in the article titled - Edit the contact details of the Registrant (owner) of a domain -).

A new validation email will then be sent automatically by the Authority, as soon as the details are updated also in the domain Whois database, however you can request a new email at any time by clicking VERIFY DETAILS .

I RECEIVED AN EMAIL REQUESTING VALIDATION BUT HAVEN’T CHANGED ANY DETAILS, MADE A NEW REGISTRATION, TRANSFERRED MY DOMAIN.

Leading up to the domain expiration date, OpenSrS will send reminders to the Registrant’s email address; if such emails are not delivered, it will then send a validation email to verify your contact information. In this case, you will need to follow the process indicated above.
