To make it easier for you to search messages and contacts in the Webmail, two search functions have been created: Quick Search and Extended Search

Quick Search
The Quick search is available directly from the main menu of the Webmail: at the top in fact you will find a specific form.

To perform a quick search, simply enter the text you wish to search in the provided text box.

The quick search can be made by using one or more keywords and uses “fuzzy” logic.

The search will provide both the messages that contain the exact keyword, and the messages containing words with the same root as the entered keywords.

For example, by using the keyword “Italy”, the results will also include messages with the word “Italians”.

The search will also be made in all the messages, (in the sender details, recipient details, subject …), in the body of the message and in the attachments.

Each message will be given a score, based on the relevance with the searched words and those with the highest score will be displayed first.

It is also possible to include or exclude the folders in which to search in

simply by going over the search box with the mouse a window will apear where you can select the folders in which to search.

Extended Search

You can access the extended search by clicking on the magnifying glass found in the form, or by clicking on:
Search --> Create a new search request in the side menu (alternatively you can use the results of a saved search).

The extended search window will then open,
where you can select one or more search criteria for searching messages.

It is possible to search in the messages or in the folders and use the “and” / “or” logical operator during the search.

To add search criteria simply click on one of the two options found in the menu at the top:

If you select a criterion more than once, the system will enable the logical operators.
To change the logical operator you just need to click it.
The search methods and criteria that you selected can be used again for future searches: in fact you can save your search, by clicking on: “Save Search”, and reuse it at any time from the Search menu.
