To change, add or delete an A record you simply need to click the “Manage” button in the section relevant to the A Record:


 

 
Add an A Record
To add an A record you need to:

  • Enter the host name in the “Host” field;
  • Enter the IPv4 address (for example192.162.345.456) in the “IPv4 address” field;
  • Click on “Add Record” to confirm your choice;


  • Click on the “Continue” button
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings.


If, while adding an A Record, you only fill in the “IPv4 Address” field leaving the relevant “Host” field empty, you will only configure the pointer for domainname.xxx.

Change an A Record
To change an A Record you need to:

  • Select the Record that you wish to change;
  • Click this icon  found next to the host name;
  • Make the changes: you can change the host name and/or the IP address:


  • Confirm the changes by clicking this icon  next to the changed Record.
  • Click on the “Continue” button;
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings


ATTENTION: If the selected A Record is associated to a Mx Record, changing it could cause problems to your Mail. We therefore recommend that you check that the A Record which you wish to change is not associated to any Mx Record.

Delete an A Record
To delete an A record you need to:

  • Select the Record that you wish to delete;
  • Click on the  “Delete” icon found in the horizontal menu at the top:


  • Click on the “Continue” button
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings.


ATTENTION: If the selected A Record is associated to a Mx Record, deleting such Record will only be possible if you first delete it from the Mx Record.
