To change, add or delete an AAAA record you simply need to click the “Manage” button in the section relevant to the AAAA Record:



N.B.: You can manage the AAAA Record, only if you have chosen to use the Name Servers of Aruba. 
If not the settings of the AAAA Record must be set on the machines that you have chosen to use.

Add an AAAA Record
To add an AAAA record you need to:
  • Enter the host name in the “Host” field;
  • Enter the IPv6 address (for example 2001:0db8:85a3:08d3:1319:8a2e:0370:7344) in the “IPv6 address” field;
  • Click on “Add Record” to confirm your choice;


  • Click on the “Continue” button
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings.
If, while adding an AAAA Record, you only fill in the “IPv6 Address” field leaving the relevant “Host” field empty, you will only configure the pointer for domainname.xxx.

Delete an aaaa record

To delete an AAAA record you need to:
  • Select the Record that you wish to delete;
  • Click on the  “Delete” icon found in the horizontal menu at the top;


  • Click on the “Continue” button
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings.
N.B.: If the selected AAAA Record is associated to a Mx Record, deleting such Record will only be possible if you first delete it from the Mx Record.

Change an AAAA Record
To change an AAAA Record you need to:
  • Select the Record that you wish to change;
  • Click this icon  found next to the host name;
  • Make the changes: you can change the host name and/or the IP address:


  • Confirm the changes by clicking this icon  next to the changed Record.
  • Click on the “Continue” button;
  • Click on “Save Configuration” to save the settings
N.B. If the selected AAAA Record is associated to a Mx Record, changing it could cause problems to your Mail. We therefore recommend that you check that the AAAA Record which you wish to change is not associated to any Mx Record.
