If the script in ASP which reads and writes on the database gives the error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot update.
Database or object is read-only.
/carpeta/nombrepagina.asp, line xx

The database is not in the mdb-database folder or is in read-only mode (Access or copy protection).
If the database is in the mdb-database, or in an mdb-database subfolder, or at your own risk in public you will need to open a support ticket, indicating the link of the page which gives the error.
If the error persists even after the permissions have been restored, check the code and ask for support to see if there are any server-side issues.
If the error occurs with the database in the fpdb folder, for users who use also Frontpage®, remove the database, in the Frontpage Tools menu select Recalculate Hyperlinks and re-import the database by selecting OK to all the questions.

* N.B.: Front Page is not supported and can therefore not be used on Windows Hosting services based on Windows 2008 platform.
